The private joint-stock bank “Trustbank” is prioritizing the enhancement of the population's business potential by introducing the positions of “mahalla banker” and “assistant agent” in 101 mahallas across the republic. Notably, from the beginning of this year until November 1, this new system has facilitated the implementation of 3,724 micro-projects, creating more than 7,670 new jobs.
Such efforts are being actively implemented in the regions. This can be seen in the example of the “Azamat” and “Ahmad Yugnakiy” mahallas in our capital. The ‘mahalla bankers” and “assistant agents” operating in these areas are identifying the local economic drivers and studying the entrepreneurial potential and business opportunities of the population. Furthermore, they are assisting with matters such as implementing promising projects, creating business plans, obtaining bank loans, and financing projects.
The “Azamat” mahalla, with a population of 7,370 and the “Ahmad Yugnakiy” mahalla, with 4,412 residents, primarily specialize in service industries. From january to november of this year, the implementation of more than 100 micro-projects in these areas resulted in the creation of nearly 250 new jobs.
The “Tashkent Education Academy”, a non-governmental educational institution established in the “Azamat” mahalla of Tashkent's Mirzo Ulugbek district, is one such promising project. This center of learning initially had 10 employees. After obtaining a loan from “Trustbank” and expanding its operations, an additional 5 citizens were employed. A system for providing high-quality education is well-established at this center, where qualified specialists are being trained. Citizens registered as low-income families come here on a referral basis to study in fields such as marketing, IT and computer literacy, accounting, mobilography, women's hairdressing, pediatric massage, and electrical work. Special certificates are awarded to those who successfully complete the training courses. Most importantly, the government covers the costs of these training courses to ensure they receive a quality education. According to the organization's officials, there are plans to take another loan from “Trustbank” to expand the range of activities and purchase modern educational equipment. Work in this direction is being carried out regularly in collaboration with the “mahalla banker”.
Indeed, this newly established system is proving its effectiveness today. The ranks of entrepreneurs in the mahallas are expanding and the number of unemployed is decreasing. Thus, all these efforts demonstrate in practice that they are for the benefit of the people.
