On April 17, 2025, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the private joint-stock bank “Trustbank” and the Mortgage Refinancing Company of Uzbekistan.
This Company, established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 13, 2019 “On additional measures for the development and expansion of the mortgage lending market”, has to date allocated more than 4.5 trillion soums for refinancing and issued bonds amounting to 590 billion soums.
This Memorandum of Cooperation will serve to increase the number and attractiveness of mortgage loans at JSC “Trustbank”. In particular, it will further expand the possibility of allocating loans for the purchase of housing in both primary and secondary markets by attracting financial resources based on market principles to meet the population's need for affordable housing.
It is worth noting that currently, “Trustbank” provides mortgage loans for the purchase of apartments in the primary market for a period of up to 240 months at an annual interest rate of 17.5%, using funds from the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Additionally, the bank offers mortgage loans from its own funds for the purchase of housing in both primary and secondary markets for a period of up to 120 months at an annual interest rate of 27%.
