On the 10th of March, the Headquarters along with “Darxan” branch of Private Joint-Stock “Trustbank” organized an essay competition among participants of the “Global Money Week” to increase financial literacy of the students studying at 112th and 225th secondary schools of the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent.

The competition is held in 3 directions where 4th and 5th grades` students write an essay on the topic of “How and why do I save money?”, for students of 6-8 grades the topic is “How to become a millionaire?” and for the students of 9-11 grades it is “Bank 2040-How should it be?”. It was explained to students that from each category only one student who wrote the best creative essay would go to the next level.

Overall, 60 students of grades 4-11 took part in the essay contest from each school.

Go`zal Shoislomova, who is the director of school № 225, shared her thoughts on the organization of this particular event as part of the Global Money Week to improve the financial literacy among youngsters: “Organizing such events will not only improve the financial literacy of our students but also it will provide them personal financial security, effective management of money”.

During the event, children will develop basic theoretical knowledge of financial planning and managing their personal budget, also, practical skills in developing innovative financial projects in the future.

Similar events aimed to improve financial literacy of young generation will continue in Qarshi and Jizzakh.
